Extend Bolt
Snippets and pipelines.
Saved text you type as ;key. Tier 1: text only. Personal: stored on your device.
Make one.
Settings → Search & Commands → Snippets → Add snippet.
Use it by typing ;key (or =snip key) in the
launcher and pressing Enter; Bolt copies the result. You can keep up to
200 snippets. With the desktop app they are shared between the app
window and your browser.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
key | What you type after ;. Starts with a letter; letters, digits, - or _; up to 24 characters. |
label | The name shown in the launcher row. |
content | The text, with tokens and fields. Up to 10,000 characters. |
sensitive | Hide the label and content on screen. The real text is still pasted. |
Tokens and fill-in fields.
| Write | You get |
|---|---|
{date}, {time}, {datetime} | Now, in your device's format. |
{uuid} | A new random UUID. |
{clipboard} | What you last copied. |
{input:Name}, {input:Name=default} | Ask for a value when you use the snippet. |
{select:Name=A,B,C} | Pick one value from a list. |
Hi {input:Name},
Thanks for the call on {date}. Next step: {select:Next=demo, pilot, proposal}.
An unknown token is left as you wrote it, so a stray {foo} is never changed.
Filters.
Add filters after a token with |. They run left to right.
{clipboard|splitcsv|sort|uniq}
| Kind | Filters |
|---|---|
| Case | upper, lower, title, camel, pascal, snake, kebab, constant, slug |
| Lines | sort, uniq, reverse, trim, joinlines, splitcsv, clean |
| Encoding | url, urld, base64 (b64), unbase64 (b64d), jsonescape, jsonunescape, sql |
| Other | duration; hashes sha256 (sha), sha1, sha512 |
Pipelines.
A pipeline is a snippet that replays steps over your clipboard. In the snippet form choose Pipeline and write the steps; Bolt stores it as one token:
{pipeline:clipboard|=jira-cloud|url|qr}
A step is a filter or transform, or an = key. An
= step runs that App with the text so far.
